In Memory of our sweet Sammie 1996 to 4-29-09

You were always such a good boy Sammie! You couldnt help it that it you grew old, blind and deaf, but you still had your energy! You are so much happier now Sammers, you can see and hear and play with Salem and Hunter and all your other friends!! I love you Sammie, you were a very good boy...

In Memory of Hunter 2000 - 2008

Hunter was a black lab, shepard mix. We adopted him as a puppy and he was our our "watch dog." He watched every thing too! He watched the deer come in the yard and just really kept an eye out for every thing. He was let out of his kennel every day to run and play - never running out on the road. Hunter was never really the same after our Salem went to rainbow bridge last year...He would howl many nights and just seemed so sad with out his little buddy...We know you and Salem are playing and chasing each other like crazy now boy - have fun and we will see you all soon on the other side!

In Memory Of Cricket - 2008

Cricket was a sweet little guy, he gave us many years of enjoyment, over ten at least. He passed away on March 21. I had put him in a situation that I now realise was very dangerous. My Cricket paid the price. His story follows...

We came home one day about ten years ago - to find Cricket perched on the roof of our house. ( I later named him Cricket because he sounded just like them. ) A storm was blowing in and "Cricket" flew right down to my out-stretched arm and in the house we went! He was obviously a handfed, we live out in the boondocks so to speak and his previous home would for ever remain a mystery. He loved to whistle different tunes, he did the dog call whistle, another whistle and the wolf whistle. Here is a funny story.  A few years ago during the summer time ( so our windows were open mind you ) the meter reader came. Just so happened to be a young lady. Well Cricket was inside, but able to see this gal walking by the window. He proceeded to do his wolf whistle over and over. Meanwhile my husband is outside working, as the bird is whistling. The meter reader gal looks at my hubby, a bit ambarrased ( but pleased look I am sure ) and smiled sweetly as she left!!! I will miss you little guy, thanks for all the memories.

In memory of Salem - 1998 - 2007

Salem was the best little friend twenty bucks will ever buy. He mother was a beagle and his father a terrier pooh. Salem stayed outside for the most part, but he was allowed in the house from time to time, for treats and loving. He never had an accident, which I still find amazing, considering he was not housebroke and un-nutered on top of that. He had a big hound dog bark, it didn't match his small stature at all! My husband took Salem hunting on many occasions and this little boy could do it all - he never had any training. I would take him along on horseback rides and he was a real trooper. Most of the time I would put him up in the saddle with me for our trip home. Salem loved all other animals, but wouldn't back down from bigger dogs either. A couple of time we had some Rottwielers enter our yard and Salem let them know that they were not welcome. He didn't yap like a lot of smaller dogs would do - he walked right up to them with the hair up on his back and let them know that they were in his yard. I know you are playing now with all your other friends Shortcrotch, we love and miss you so much ...thanks for being the best little dog ever.

Frasier was a Polish Arabian, a tall elegent boy who took us on lots of trail rides. He was the first horse my husband ever rode and Frasier taught him alot. My husband is pictured here on Frasier - I am on our grade gelding Shadow. Rest in peace big fella.

In Memory of Gr. Ch. Knowlwood's Sundance Kid ( Booboo ) 1994

Pic. taken around 1994

Booboo or Sunny, was an American Pit Bull Terrier. ( I raised and showed them in the late eighty's - early ninety's.) He was a registered therapy dog - he and I went on nursing home visits in Milwaukee. I also showed him in and out of state, he went all the way to Grand Champion. He was the biggest baby ever, so sweet. I never heard him growl, not once. He is pictured here with my mom and myself at Christmas. Rest in peace Booboo Bear.

I Dont Know About Tomorrow

"I don't know about tomorrow,
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from its sunshine
'Cause the skies may turn to grey.

I don't worry about the future
'Cause I know what Jesus said,
And today I'll walk beside him
'Cause he knows what is ahead.

There are things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Each step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb.
Every burden is getting lighter
All the clouds are silver lined.

Where the sun is always shining
No tears will dim the eye
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.
